Organizers of “Mental Journey to Millions” 3-Day Event Announce Essay Contest that Offers 25 Program Scholarships Valued at $497 Each.

“Perpetuating the Legacy of Contribution” Essays are Due June 15, 2007.

(Seattle, WA – May 14, 2007) – Thach Nguyen announced today that 25 “Perpetuating the Legacy of Contribution” scholarships will be awarded on June 15, 2007 to essay contest winners who wish to attend the June 22-24, 2007 “Mental Journey to Millions” event at the Seattle Westin without fee.

Making a contribution is one of the key lessons Nguyen and his co-presenter Matthew Ferry advance during the “Mental Journey to Millions” networking and training event.  “The sooner we all learn that our success is tied to how we serve others and contribute beyond our own needs, the more readily we can all attract the abundance we seek in our lives and work,” Nguyen said.

Essay contest winners will gain access to inspiring stories, tools, support, and people who can help them achieve their boldest goals for life and work.

Essay writers can mail their one-page, typewritten entries that describe how they intend to make a difference in their communities to 1530 33rd Avenue S. Seattle, WA 98144 or email them to ngfoto@yahoo.com.  Entries must be received by June 15, 2007.  The name of the author, his/her daytime telephone number, and mailing address must be posted prominently on the top of the essay document in order to be considered.  Email addresses are welcome for those with Internet access.

The essay contest honors the memory of Nguyen’s father Nhon K. Nguyen, who passed away on January 22 of this year.  Nguyen said, “My life is about being of contribution to others and encouraging others to do the same, and I learned this lesson at the feet of my dad,” Nguyen said.  Nhon K. Nguyen served as a translator for the U.S. government in Vietnam.  He supported the orphanages and churches there through community service. When he came to Seattle, Washington, he worked as a social worker.  His caring and contribution were widely felt. “When my dad passed away, hundreds of people from the Asian community attended the funeral to express their gratitude and their tears,” Nguyen said.

The "Perpetuating the Legacy of Contribution" scholarships are sponsored by Jacque Nguyen, the branch manager at the International District Office for Countrywide Financial; Fern Lam, the sales manager of the www.fernacity.com team at the Mercer Island office for Countrywide Financial, and Thach Nguyen.

In related news, Thach Nguyen is collaborating with the Greater Seattle Vietnamese Association (GSVA) to build orphanages in Vietnam in his father's honor.  Nguyen said, "My intention is to build at least two this year." He is donating the $24,000 to fuel the construction cost for each facility.

The fee for the general public to attend the 3-day event is $297 for those who register before May 24 and $497 for those who register after that date. To learn more about the “Mental Journey to Millions” event, visit www.gomjm.com.  Enter special code #1042 when you register.
